The Volvo FH16 700 offers significant power with its 700hp engine and excellent torque distribution, making it suitable for demanding tasks. Its I-Shift function aids in efficient fuel consumption, though routine maintenance of advanced systems may require professional expertise. The cab's ergonomics and storage options ensure comfort during extended drives, though some might find the single-bunk layout limiting.

Drove the FH16 700 on a long-distance route. Its sturdy performance impressed, especially with heavy loads. The I-Shift gearbox simplifies the drive, though slight shifts during heavy traffic were noticeable. In-cab features like the swivel seat and fridge enhance convenience. Suspension is reliable but not the smoothest on all roads. A dependable choice overall.

I've been driving trucks for years, and recently got behind the wheel of the latest Volvo FH16. That engine seems quite efficient, providing noticeable fuel savings. The torque increase adds a bit of extra power when it’s really needed. However, I felt the control wasn't as intuitive as hoped-maybe just requires additional getting used to. Overall, a solid upgrade from its predecessor.

Recently tried out the Volvo FH16, particularly intrigued by its impressive D17 engine, delivering up to 780 horsepower. The control via the I-Shift was intuitive, though it took some getting used to during steep inclines. Cab comfort was excellent, both for driving and resting, especially the Globetrotter version. Minor issue: transitioning during low-speed maneuvers required extra attention.

Ran one of these FH16s last month, 700hp, so not the top one, but wow, the new motor yanks hard. I noticed the improved braking too, especially with a full trailer coming down the pass. Gear shifts are smoother than the old 540s, you don't get that hesitation when you kick it up a gear. Nothing bad to say about reliability, Volvos usually hold up, and this one feels just as solid. Didn’t see any big change comfort-wise - seat's decent, bunk is the usual, but you still get a bit rattled after 12 hours. Maintenance costs? Well, parts are never cheap on Volvos, so prepare yourself, but I’d say it’s not worse than before. Biggest plus for me is being able to switch to biofuels, let's see how the new tech holds up with that long term. Might be tricky at first with fuel quality, but I’m willing to try it.

I've driven the Volvo FH16 on several long hauls, and the power from its 16-liter engine impresses. The 700-hp output paired with the I-Shift transmission feels robust yet smooth. That being said, it took me a while to get accustomed to all the onboard systems. For economics and safety, it's a solid choice.

Been driving the updated Volvo FH16 for a few months. The new D17 engine is a monster when it comes to pulling power, especially with the 780 hp version. I really noticed that torque bump, climbing hills fully loaded feels easier now. Fuel savings are decent-beat my old FH on a similar route by a decent margin (probably that 5% extra they talk about). I like that it can run on HVO, though the fuel isn't always easy to find. The cab updates? Pretty comfortable for long hauls. Only gripe, service can get expensive on such a new high-end truck, especially with all the new tech. Not complaining about reliability yet but worried about what repairs might cost down the line.

Having put some miles on the Volvo FH16, here's what stands out. The engine performance-thanks to the D16 series-is dependable and powerful. The I-Shift gearbox simplifies gear transitions, reducing fatigue. Still, during consistent long hauls, I sometimes felt cabin insulation could be slightly better to block external noise. In terms of ergonomics, the seat adjustment options are top notch.
